$450,000 settlement pre-trial for a 63-year-old tile showroom manager, who had a 2000 lb. tile rack fall from a truck onto his person, after the delivery driver began lowering the rack, using his rear lift gate, but failed to lock the braking mechanism on the casters. The rack collapsed toward the plaintiff, pushing him to the ground and pinning him, and causing him to suffer wrist and ankle injuries, which resulted in two arthroscopic surgeries to repair the injured areas.
