$1.5M Settlement for Nerve Damage from Epinephrine

$1.5 million medical malpractice settlement for a 48 year old woman who went to the hospital due to an anaphylactic reaction from accidentally eating seafood. The hospital administered epinephrine shots into both of the client's legs to stop the allergic reaction, but ended up causing the client nerve damage. The plaintiff was eventually diagnosed with Reflex Sympathetic Syndrome (RSD), also known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) in all extremities, and required the implantation of a permanent spinal cord stimulator, a device used to exert pulsed electrical signals to the spinal cord to control chronic pain.
