Many New Yorkers go to restaurants, clubs or bars that sell alcohol. Because there is a risk that individuals could drink too much, there is also a concern that a fun time could turn destructive. If there is a lack of security, a situation could escalate and result in injuries.

Even without alcohol present, establishments could have a number of safety issues. In some cases, store or property owners may not accommodate for risks that they have overlooked. Security personnel may be able to point out concerns that need to be addressed, and if there is inadequate security, those issues could go unchecked and potentially lead to injured patrons.

If a inadequate security guards or other security related issues have resulted in New York residents suffering serious injuries, premises liability claims may be warranted.
