The loss of a child can leave any parent feeling devastated. No one truly gets over such an event, and in many cases, a child’s death can often lead parents to face difficulties that other individuals may not even be able to imagine. As a result, if another party or entity was liable in the fatality, parents may feel the need to seek justice.

New York residents may be interested in such a case currently underway in another state. Reports indicated that the parents of a deceased 5-year-old boy have decided to move forward with legal action against the restaurant where their child was injured and other liable parties. The incident took place earlier this year when the family was at a restaurant that hosts a rotating dining room. The feature is supposed to allow guests to have a view of the surrounding city.

While there, the child somehow became stuck between a wooden booth and a moving wall. The rotation of the wall resulted in the boy suffering crushing injuries, to which he later succumbed at an area hospital. The family believes that the restaurant and other individuals are liable due to having no emergency stop mechanism nearby and failing to take other safety precautions.

Having to face such a devastating loss can leave families with immense hardships. If any New York residents have had the misfortune of enduring a similar situation, they may wish to seek justice of their own. If unsafe conditions on someone else’s property led to the death of a loved one, individuals may have cause to file premises liability claims.
